Malay Tone Poem

In a country that has produced its fair share of great pianists, Jonathan Gee stands comparison with the very finest. Since being named Rising Star in the 1991 British Jazz Awards, Jon has gone on to work the some legendary names in jazz - Pharaoh Saunders, Joe Lovano and Benny Golson to name a handful. In the UK, he is known best  for his outstanding collaborations with the likes of Bobby Wellins, Tim Whitehead, Tony Kofi and Damon Brown.

Jon comes to the club just having completed a UK tour that coincides with the release of his latest trio album, Dragonfly. The tour and album feature two of New York's finest rhythm section players, Joseph LePore on bass and Nasheet Waits on drums.
