Malay Tone Poem

One of the most extraordinarily talented saxophonists on this planet, Gilad brings his ever-evolving band to the Spin for a night of outrageously flamboyant - and deeply beautiful - playing! While you will probably know plenty about Gilad, the group that he will be sharing the bill with (and featuring in) will be a first for the Spin:

Talinka Quartet

This is how the band describe themselves:

Talinka is a music-loving adventure. For us, the love of music extends beyond style and genre. We blend folk, early music, jazz, tango and free improvisation. We believe in songs and beauty being vital forces of nature. We adhere to simplicity, harmony and warmth. And throughout, the joker, provocateur and controversialist Gilad keeps up his usual banter with everyone in the room, including his wife. Very entertaining and richly enjoyable!

This will be fare of the finest - and most original type (for a start, it is a first for The Spin to welcome a baroque violinist and viola-da-gamba player!). Do book early for what promises to be a fascinating night of great playing and creativity!
