Thank you for your interest in ‘Hejira - Live @ The Cockpit’ – the club's first ‘Spin Jazz Productions’ label LSL (SJP LSL-001).

By now, you are probably aware that ‘LSL’ stands for ‘Look. Scan. Listen.’ – which fairly describes the whole concept! We’ve made this very much with the tactile enjoyment of multi-page vinyl sleeves in mind, offering an experience so much more immersive than what one gets with any of the major streaming services. This is ‘collectors', or 'gift-quality' fare!

Here is what you’ll find in this A5-size, coffee-table quality, hard-back book:

- 32 high-quality, full-colour pages.

Following the introductions on pages 2 and 3 from the producers of Spin Jazz Productions, each subsequent double page contains:

-  the lyrics of one song

-  liner notes by a member of Hejira

-  graphics and photographs related to the song

- a QR code to scan which gives you immediate access to the audio.

There are 12 tracks, all superbly recorded live from one concert at The Cockpit, Marylebone, London, on the 17th November 2023.

Following on from the 12 tracks, on page 28, there is an additional bonus video (from the same concert) of the song, ‘Woodstock’

And on page 29, there’s ‘The Long Play’: when you scan the QR code on this page, a ‘player panel’ will show on your screen where – just like any CD player – you can hit ‘play’ and enjoy the whole album.

The last pages contain thanks, credits and snapshots from Hejira’s autumn ’23 tour.

Here is the first CD of our new ‘record label’, 'Spin Jazz Productions’!

Within this album, you’ll find the entire concert (aside from three instrumentals) from Hejira’s EFG London Jazz Festival gig at The Cockpit, Marylebone, 17/11/’23.

The concert was superbly recorded, then mixed and mastered to the highest standards; this has resulted in a studio-quality album – but with all the vibe and energy of the live show fully captured.
